Comments: My Dad who went by the name of Pat would often tell me Stories of Korea when I was a Little Girl. I remember him telling me about a place called Hamburger Hill. And I also remember when He would have bad nightmares of the War. He would scream out in the middle of the night.
If any of you Korean War Veterans who served in this War and was a part of the Screaming Eagles, I would very much like to hear from you.
My Dad passed away in 1991.
It is an Honor to me to sign this Guestbook, and I know that Dad would be very Proud of this Site.
Thank You very much, Sandy

Comments: Looking for fellow soldiers/friends of our dad, Douglas "Doug" J. Kramer, he served in Korea (79th Ord Bn.), Vietnam, and Germany. We are trying to recapture our dad's life in a scrap book of his civilian & military life (donation of pictures, letters, etc... will be appreciated). This book will be shared with his family (to include grand and great-grand children). He served in the Army from 1948-1970 any information and momentos will be much appreciated. My parents lost most of their valueables when they were robbed (the uniform my dad put away to be buried in was also taken, we are trying to prepare a duplicate uniform). We did request his records on SF 180, but we are not getting much help from St. Louis, MO.

Sherry Burns wrote on 2000-07-23 17:56:44.0
Comments: I am looking for information on the troops, units, regiments, etc. that were in Songdo (near Inchon, not Pusan) and Pupyong in 1954 and 1955. This information will assist me in identifying my father (last name Smith, called Smitty).
He was stationed in Songdo and then transferred to Pupyong around 1954-55. He supposedly was driving off-base, crashed into a house, and died in Pupyong. I'm not really certain he died.
I seek this information simply for the peace of mind of knowing my father's identity. Any information about the troops that were there, or if you knew someone by this description, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Comments: I was a member of the NYNG 773rd AAA BN "B" Battery 1st ARMY, located on Staten Island N.Y., behind the Manor Road Armory.
I served in the UNIT from 1954-1961 under the command of Captain Patton. The unit served in Korea and in the 60's became a AAA Nike Ajax SAM Unit based in Kensico N.Y. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 773RD, AND IN PARTICULAR, THE MEN OF BATTERY B.
Be nice to hear from somebody...
