Comments: My father, Charles Edward Lukens, of Roanoke, VA, was in Germany from 1952-1954 with the 101st. He was an ambulance driver at one time and was awarded "Soldier of the Month" in 1953. He returned to CONUS in 1954 and continued at VPI, now Virginia Tech.
Please let me know if you knew him. I have some pictures of him and some unknown friends I'd like to share.
He died in January 1972.
Thanks,
Bill Lukens, his oldest son.

John Manguso, director of the Fort Sam Houston Museum, is looking for
indidividuals and units that served at Fort Sam during the Korean War.
Is there any way you could put a little note of some sort at your site
letting everyone know he's looking?
If you are willing to do this, please contact me at my home e-mail
address, above, or at my office, the US Army Medical Dept Museum, at
