Comments: I am trying to find out anything that anyone might know about Clinton Edgar Chapman. He was at fort Bragg for a time before or after he was sent to Korea. I have heard so many different versions of what he and his unit did in the war. I believe he was in infantry, could have been a cook, I just don't know. There is one version of the story that my grandmother tells that says his position was "more than it seemed" and he was trained to be a prisoner of war should his unit be taken.(?) He tried to adopt a boy named Kim that hung around the unit and was very close to some of the guys, however Kim had an illness that prevented him from being brought stateside. Anything that anyone can tell me would be appreciated.

This team was possibly in cooperation with the UN but I am not sure about that. My grandfather, Robert L. Rice was from Indiana and was killed in San Bernardino, CA on 9/12/1952 in a car accident while still working for the US Army. I have no other information and an old newspaper article (From the Stars and Stripes?) is missing.
Thanks! And THANK YOU to all veterans and current service men and women!!! God bless the US!

Jeffrey Taylor wrote on 2003-03-02 20:16:09.0
Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my father, SFC John H. Taylor, from Pulaski,VA. My father entered the Army at the very end of WWII (1944- 17 years old - received credit for WWII service)and served through Korean war(13 years total. I am trying to piece together his service units from memory so I can put together a history for his grandson (my son). He was in Constabulary Unit in Germany after WWII. I also know he was in 24th Inf. Div at some point and trained for Combat Engineer unit before Korea. He was supply at Ft. Belvoir, Va. during some point in late 40's early 50's. He was "first three grader?" after Korea and asked to attend Airborne at Ft. Bragg but did not accept(saw guys hitting the ground like bricks). My Dad died in August 2002 and all unit insignia, patches, Bronze Star, ribbons, etc. were stolen from his home by someone in family before I got there from NC. I have many memories but they are all jumbled and cannot put together a time line. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

indidividuals and units that served at Fort Sam during the Korean War.

I'm looking for information on behalf of my father, Thomas McCluskey,
New York, who was stationed in the 1st Division in Germany (Furth,
Nuremberg and Schweinfurt) between 1950-1952 during the Korean War.
All other information has been lost. Specifically looking for buddies:
Robert Coriveau (New Hampshire)
Millard Phillips (Petersburg)
Randolph Wise (Connecticut)
Chris Davis (West Virginia)
Stuart Blum (Baltimore)
Oscar Lopes (Arizona)
He is very interested in communicating with anyone listed,
or others who may have served with him. Any information on
service dates and location would also be appreciated.
Thank you for you help in this effort.
