LOOKING FOR THOSE WHO WOULD REMEMBER MY DAD.

Comments: My father was sent out with 3 other men on June 21,1952 to repair
communication wires that the N. Koreans sabotaged. When they did, they
were ambushed. My dad (John Najduk) was injured and the two others,
Joey Moody and Charles Beams were killed. What happened to the forth?

If there is anyone alive from this day I would love to know more about it.
Dad would never talk about it, so we know very little. Someone had to
evacuate him. He never spoke of that.

Please e-mail me at LynnsPL81@aol.com

Thank you!

Comments: I am sorry to see fewer and fewer entries on the 999th AFA page. I know we are getting older, but it doesn't mean we should lose interest. I would still like to find some of my old friends and this is where I found some of them. Much to my sorrow; I found that some are no longer with us, and some I have been unable to find. I would still like to hear from any Triple-niners who are out there (that I haven't heard from).

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone had any recollection of him. If I'm not mistaken he was a radio man, one of the first blacks (so one of my siblings states). As there are 5 of us with a 17 yr span we don't have any clear stories.

Anyway, I don't think the unit was a black unit because from what he told me, the military was one of the first places for diversity.

He was born in Tennesse and enlisted while living in Detroit, MI.

If you have anyinformation on this unit, please let me know.
