Comments: I am the son of a Veteran... Corporal Cornelius F. Porter who served in the 96 Field Artillery Battalion in Korea. I am looking for any and all members of this Battalion who may have pictures or group photos of the battalion. My father is still alive, but is having difficulty with proving his service tour in Korea. He worked at Walter Ried Hospital before shipping overseas to War and served as a Field Medic under the Dr. Pocock or Polcock and his assistant Ralph A. Reynolds. During 1950-51

Please email or direct any responses to my personal email juniporter@yahoo.com I really desire to help him. I know he helped to save many lives over there... I ask that anyone who is able to assist me to help him now. I served a V.A. Chaplain in Dallas Texas year 2004-05, and do know and respect the brotherhood of veterans who served.

Please help me if you can... thank you.

Sincerly

Chaplain Johnnie B. Porter M. Div, M.A.C.M.

Comments: Looking for information on my father, Shelly Blackman, Jr. or anyone who knew or remembers him. He served in the 96th FAB in Korea from Feb 1951-Nov 1952. He entered as a private and left as a sergeant. His service # is US 5213852. In addition to those who knew him, we are specifically looking for anyone who can provide information on an ear injury he sustained during combat that was surgically repaired in the army field hospital. We are also interested in knowing if the company or my father specifically received any medals such as the bronze star, or purple heart.
