The veterans of this unit received the Presidential Unit Citation for their participation in extracting the 7th Inf and 1st Marine Units out of the Chosin Res in Dec 1950. The award was presented to the veterans at a reunion in Asheville,N.C.in 2002 by BG M.Kimmitt.

Comments: Spent my time on the outost watching CCF troop and vehicle movement and reporting same to Btn. Hqtrs. March of 54 to Oct. 54 spent on Hill 360,
southwest of Chorwon City until unit rotated to Camp Younghans, Ginmachi, Japan. Left Camp Younghams about Jan. 55 and moved to Camp Omiya about 17 miles North of Tokyo. Like to hear from anyone serving with A Btry during this time period.

Comments: An incident I will always remember is one when we
crossed over the 38th and passed a North Korean
anti-artillery outfit that had been knocked out by
our Air Force.It was a horse drawn unit and the
dead horses and men were pushed off the side of
the road and left there unburied.Each time we had
to pass that spot the odor of deaying flesh became
stronger.I still remember that the odor coming
from that site had two different odors for the
human and animal flesh.If anyone can supply other
information as to time and site I would appr

Comments: we left from camp hood in 1950 and landed at inchon.while there i was told that we were attached to 8th army so that we could be assigned wherever we were needed.if i am mistakened about this please let me know.the fartherest north i got was to the yalu river taking a truck load of displaced persons as i was ordered.i do not know why our outfit was interested in dp s.when we left the north i got left behind because i had pneumonia.when our outfit marched to the beach to load aboard i could no keep up and was left behind.when i got to the beach everyone was gone.i could not believe the army could move that quickly.as i looked around a man came and asked me where i wanted to go.i told him my outfit was on one of the ships.he had a boat and took me to the right ship and i went to the hospital on board.i cannot remember if the man that helped was in uniform or not.when we got to pusan i stayed in the hospial until they released me and hitched my way back to my outfit.

Comments: I was a radio operator in the 92nd AFA for 16 months (1953-1954). I've always remained active in the local veterans organizations, but I have not seen or talked to anyone that was in my unit since I left. Till now did I know that this type of service was available. Comments: I served in several positions on a gun section in C Btry of the 92nd AFA BN from April,1951 until Feb.,1952.I was the Gunner in the Section in the Khumwa valley when I rotated out in 52.We supported several Infantry Divs,!st Marines and ROKS during my tour.We have now formed an organization of former members of the 92nd AFA Bn.

Comments: I left Ft Hood, TX. with the 92nd in the summer of 1950 and left them somewhere in Korea in Dec 1951. As far as I know I fired the first small arms fire for the Bn in Korea. Several rounds from a 50 Cal and one clip from a carbine somewhere near Inchon. Didn't kill any one but cut a bush down. I would like to to hear from any of you that might have been there. If any one has any solid information on the following men I would like to hear from you. Carl Ransome from Florance, SC. David L. Coffey from Watertown, NY. TJ Hatley from NC. David Cowan or Cowen might have been from OK.
