Keywords: James Webb was with 92nd searchlight late 1951 to 1952. Attached to 8th field Artillery. He is looking for anyone from the unit who could verify that they were exposed to combat conditions.

Comments: James Webb served with the 92nd Searchlight Engineers in Korea in 1952. James was from Wayne County West Virgina. James filed a disability claim with the VA and has been informed that there are no records of his having been exposed to combat conditions. If there is someone who remembers James or combat actions in 1952 with this unit, it would be helpful to him. I am assisting James and his wife in searching for anyone who can help confirm his military experience in Korea.

Comments: My dad served from January of l953 until February of l954 in Korea. I'd be interested to know more about the company and would especially love to hear from anyone who may have known my dad.
Keywords: He was in Korea on hill 1179 which was 27 miles from punchbowl ridge. He looked on the map he has of Korea and he said he was northeast of Bloody Ridge and Southeast of Heartbreak Ridge overlooking the shooting gallery. I asked him what towns and he said there were no towns there because they all got bombed out. He was south of the DMZ zone about 3 blocks.

Comments: I am helping Mr. McKinney file for VA benefits. He needs confirmation of wounds he received in the buttock, head (jaw), hand and arm. Also confirmation of frostbite, broken left big toe, and lung injury. This happened in the area of "the Pass" on the East Coast of Korea (Artillery Valley) during 52 and/or 53 Please contact me or Fred (270)492-8841.
