Comments: My name is Josh Suckiel and I served with the 88th MP Co in the Iraqi war from Feb 10 2003 to Dec 23 2003. We were based in Kuwait International Airport performing customs operations for troops going home. We also had two plt. rotate in Iraqi for 5 months. After reading this units heritage I belive they keeped up with the 88ths good reputation and would have made you proud. I would also like to thank all of you vets for you time and sacrifices in the Korean War. This war is not forgotten by me or my family and friends.

Comments: I searve in the 88th MP CO from Sept 51 to Some time in 1952 I think July or Aug. I transfered to the POW supervisor project after the Riot on the Islands in 1952 (KOJEDO) Spent the rest of my time on Yonchdo Island.Rotated home in June 1953 from SuawanKorea on the main land. Comments: My fathe rserved with the 88th when it landed in Hungnam. He's told me many stories from that time of his life and I wonder if any of you veterans remember him. His name was Thomas L. Vaclavicek and he was a corporal as well as the company clerk. If you remember him, please feel free to e-mail me; I'd love to hear from anyone.

Comments: I left command of the 88th MP Company (CS) in August of 2001. We did a search through the institute of heraldry and both the 88th in Korea and the 188th came back. The unit lineage and honors infers the original 88th MP Company. What a great heritage to have some veterans of the warfighting unit visit the current 88th at Ft Eustis,VA.

Comments: Current commander of the 188th MP company. I'm trying to continue the rich heritage and experiences of the past. Our parent unit was the 88th MP company which was formed in 1946 and deployed to Korea in 1950. We have a lot of unit pride and are glad to integrate our accomplishments of the past into a worthwhile organization. We are still here on the korean penisula and we are doing our job well.
