I need to know where he was those 26 days after the battle so i can put my mind to rest,sure would help me. He took Basic Training @Ft. Dix ,N.J. and then he went to Ft. Bragg,N.C. to the 82nd Air Borne Paratrooper School. He was 17 years old when he joined. He was a private going in, and came out a Sgt.I'm not sure he was in this Battalion, but I believe he was in Infantry, and he was in 82nd for sure! SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: I wish I knew more about his time in Korea.I know he was in the SigC and was Army Artillery.He would not talk much about the war but I know he spent some 14 months in action.I met him after he came back and was stationed at Dallas Army/Airforce.He was a Sargent 11 and was in the motor pool.I can't remember all battles or his unit.If someone has known Ted in Texas or Korea I would love to hear.He also served first term and spent most of his time in Alaska.His name as legal is Arvil B.Ortigo from Natchitoches.
