Comments: I was Company Clerk for Company A, Long Lines Signal,
at Kyungju from early 1954 for several months. The
Compnay joined Det 3 HQ at Chongju, where I had the
duties of Teletype Operator. Later, in 1955, the Det
moved to Taegue and was there when I came home. I
have a photo of the men in Company A if someone would
like it emailed to them.

Comments: My father, John William Farmer, also known as Bill, was with the 8226th Av GHQ Long Lines Sig, HQ 1ST BN 109th Infantry. He was seriously injured when the load came loose on the (Bailey)M4T6 bridge truck he was riding on slid down a mountain side. I would also like to have any patches that were displayed him during the Korean War. I am a 26 year veteran of the Army and the Air Force also. Thanks.

Comments: For purposes of SQ history, am trying to identify Army Sig Unit I turned HIGHPOINT over to 31 May 1955. Site located 5-6 miles SSE of Chonan and about 1 mile E os MSR-1. Site was STRATCOM in 1970, now opr by 501st Sig Co out of Cp Humphreys (formerly K-6), along with Bucket Site on Hill 170 Osan AB. Contact with former Army sig men indicates CO "C" 8226th Long Line Sig is that unit. SEEKING TO VERIFY - ANYONE OUT THERE THAT REMEMBERS THE B-B-B/S TURN OVER PARTY and taking over HIGHPOINT (2nd Rad Rel Sq call sign - AF site name Paris)???

Comments: I joined the 8226 about April 1951 from the Signal School in Eta Jima Japan. Rotated about March 1952. I was a Sgt 1/c, Wire Chief. I was to relieve the current Wire Chief in Pusan Toll. I was first billeted in Co. 1, but shortly transferred to Headquarters Company in the old factory. Working the lines, I met by phone a number of the people in the unit, but typical Signal types, we talked and worked together, but in many cases never met. I did visit the switches in Hialiah, and the transmitter site, the carrier station in the University. I was an instructor in the Dial Central Course at Ft. Monmouth,NJ. I later worked for a civilin, Al Mazenko. He was in one of the civilians in the Long Lines and was intially stationed in the school house along with many of the first arrivals to Korea from Japan.

The NG outfit was one of the few if not the only arterliary to be using 155 split trails. I think that ought to distinguish it from others. We were usualy near a battery thhat was using 244mm selfpropeled guns. Again in the center,

Comments: Dear Sir:
im inquiring of my missing uncle that i never met that was listed in action during the korean war.I am a veitnem vet and would really like to know what happened to my uncle. As we all know our gov. dont always tell us the whole truth and it was a great concern of my grandfather that someday we may learn the real truth to this issue. It is with great concern that we all find our lost brothers and sisters in these times .I know that some where in all the records there has to be something telling more than my grandfather was ever told .I myself would greatly like any help in this matter that you can dig up.Its kinda hard knowing that there isnt any thing left to tell the story of his life .I would like any records of any nature that might help me understand why there wasnt more than just a telegram that left a wonerful man so broken hearted untill his death at the age of 92. I know that ya lots to do but any help would be nice .
