THE REAL UNCACK (8201ST AU) |
| THOMAS CARROLL wrote on July 29, 2010 City and State: STANWOOD WA Unit: 8201ST AU Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN Comments: The correct unit designation for the 8201st Army Unit, (UNCACK) is UNITED NATIONS CIVIL ASSISTANCE COMAND, KOREA At least that was was it was when I was assigned there from Sept 1951 thru March of 1953, at Suwon. The Suwon Det was responsible for all of Kyongido. with the exception of Soul City which had its own Detachment. If the Unit designation was changed later I am not aware of that nor if any changes were made to its operational charter. Keywords: Suwon Detachment |
