He came from a large family and had to learn to cook his name was Jimmy Strain was curious if anyone remembers him he was from Arkansas. I know it was in the 50's not sure what year think was maybe from 1952-1955 somewhere around that time. My father had a friend his friend was dating my mother until he went to Korea and he met a korean woman think they got married anyways my father saw my mother's picture asked if he could write her so he did and after he did he went to Texas to meet my mother and shortly after they got married and they are still married.

He served in Korea, I can't tell you what dates. I choose not to ask my mother and my Grandmother about him because he commited suicide on July 15 1962-1968.(My mm/dd/ birthday appx 30 years early-- no b/s!) any help in tracking his records would be satisfying. Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN - KOREA Comments: KCOMZ phased out in Feb '55, we were assigned to the 8073d and sent to Pusan. In June (I think) '55 we were sent to join the rest of the 8073d which was attached to the 8th Army HQ Engineer Section in Seoul. The guys listed in the keywords left for home before I left in March '56. Any of you fellows, or others of the unit, out there? The 8073rd Army Unit, (Engr. Real Estate Detachment) was assigned the duty of surveying all properties in the Wonju area being used by US Forces for their compounds. We assessed the orginal value of the property. We then assessed damages to the property and improvements made to the property. It was our understanding this would be used when and if claims of damage were ever made by the property owners. The largest property we surveyed was the airfield (K-14?). We lived in Tent 7 with the 52nd? Transpotation BN. We reported to an MP Capt who served as Exec. Officer of the Wonju Area Command. One of my troops last name was Walsh. Memories are growing dim of that time. I do remember Terry Moore coming in to do a USO Show. Her Mother was with her and she was no longer appearing in the white ermine bathing suit when she got to Wonju. Keywords:
