Comments: My father Jose A. Torres, served on the 8063 MASH
unit starting September 1950. He passed away 14
years ago. He never said much about his time in
Korea. After my mom's passing, I found some photos
and a Thanksgiving Dinner brochure with the names of
everyone there. From what I can gather, he dealt
with personnel management. Does anyone remember my
dad or have any photos of him?

From Korea he went to Germany before ending his
military career in 1954.

Thank you for any information.

Comments: I am tracing my father's military service from his enlistment in 1948 through his discharge in 1952. He was wounded in Korea while fighting with the 7th Cavalry in February 1951, and according to a letter written to his parents, he was sent to the 8063rd MASH. I would like to know more about this MASH unit. I know that MASH units were mobile. Does anyone know where the 8063rd was located/stationed? I am most interested in its location(s) in February 1951 and September 1951.

Please e-mail. Thank you so much for your help.

Comments: I was wondering if I could get information on facts related to M.A.S.H. As a class project we read the book M*A*S*H* and I am doing a report on Real MASH units, and I would like to have true facts instead of the book. I would like to know what it was like and so on. Any information would be helpful.

Thank you so much

Liz
