He was wounded in Korea while fighting with the 7th Cavalry in February 1951, and according to a letter written to his parents, he was sent to the 8063rd MASH. I would like to know more about this MASH unit. I know that MASH units were mobile. Does anyone know where the 8063rd was located/stationed? I went to the MASH hospital at the bottom of the bowl, was x-rayed, taped and sent back to my unit. I have a chit book from the 8063 Mobile Army Surgical Hospital Officer's Club where I went before I had to return to my company. This occured during the early part of 1953. Please advise what I need to do to get a copy of my medical records ffrom the hospital. By the way. This hospital did a lot for the 5th RCT and I will alwaays appreciate it.
