Keywords: I have a coin that says DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY,UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1775, on one side. On the other it says 802 ENGINEER BATTALION (C)(H) CAMP HUMPHREYS, KOREA. It has the name "BONES" engraved on it. I am hoping someone can tell me anything about it.

Comments: I am looking for any information on my great uncle, His name was Robert F. Osgood and he was assigned to Co. B, 802 Engineer Battalion, Korea. I was told he rescued his wife Olga from a concentration camp and I wanted to try to find out any information on that or any information about him from someone that may have known him or Served with him.

Bco, 802 EAB August 1950-December 1951

Comments: I was transferred to the 802 EAB on Okinawa from the 74th Heavy Equipment Company at Fort Bragg, NC in August 1950. Was assigned briefly to H&S Co, then moved to B Com. We moved to Suwon, South Korea in April, 1951, where we worked on extending the runway at K-13. I left at the end of December 1951 and returned to the States on the John C. Breckenridge.

Looking for

Comments: Ben was wounded in November, 1952, severe scrapnel wounds to lower legs, spent 2 months in US Army Hospital in Japan. Came home with his Purple Heart ribbon (no medal) and a full disability pension because of his wounds. His records didn't accompany him and the Army tells us his records were "destoryed by fire". We believe this to be a lie. Ben died 7 Apr 1992 from lead poisoning after his body absorbed the scrapnel too deeply embedded to be removed. He never received his pension or Purple Heart. Anyone who knew Ben or remembers him, perhaps your recollections would be of help in obtained what is due him from this country for his serice and sacrifice. He was a welder, working on constructing an airstrip for Allied planes when wounded in a motar attack, Nov. 1952. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Comments: feb 68 to feb 69, where did we go? i know of a btty 4/44th, c btty 4/44th, falcon toc, but where were we sent for bridges? just in time for bob hopes xmas show we were tdy, don't remember where! sometimes traveled in back of covered truck. anybody know?
