Comments: I noticed many people are looking for friends, loved ones. My grandfather was in Company "G", 7th cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. I know he arrived in Febuary of 1951. He was the head cook. William Harold Lewis. a.k.a. "Slim" I have many pictures of him and his friends. None of which have names (except one sent to him from Jack Nusem? (I can't exactly tell what the last name says.) I can't give up my pictures but I could copy them or e-mail them if I have who you are looking for.

Comments: Military records posted on the wed indicate that Sgt. Nicodemus served with the 24th INF DIV, 19th INF REG. His obituary states that he served with the 1st CAV, 7th REG, Company G.
I know that he was stationed in Japan before being transferred to Korea. He was KIA on July 16, 1950.
A brief description of the location of either unit on July 16, 1950 would be greatly appreciated. Also, an explanation of the discrepancy on his assignment will be appreciated.

Comments: Both my dad and his kid brother (Dick Rake from Muskegon, Michigan) served in Korea. My Uncle Dick was KIA 8 Sep 50 near Taegu, South Korea. If anyone served with him, please contact me. It would be such a tremendous blessing for both my dad and my grandma (who is still) living to hear from you. Uncle Dick had just turned 18 a few days before he was killed. We think he was ambushed; he bled to death from having his legs shot up (and no blood available from Red Cross).
Thanks in advance.

Comments: Both my parents have passed away and I am trying to piece together my fathers military career. He served in Korea in 1950-51 with the 7th Cav Heavy Mortar company. I believe he was a forward observer. He retired from the Army in 1968. Any information would be helpful.
