Comments: I would like to hear from anyone who served with me and in particular remembers our squad being ordered by a 90 Day Wonder Lt. to go thru our own minefield without a map because he couldn't locate it, and of course our sqaud leader stepped on a mine and had a hole blown thru his foot. I and another trooper had to go back out and bring him back. A few days later this Lt. claimed his 45 went off accidently and shot himself in the hand? If this brings back any memories I would love to hear from you!

Comments: I have a photo dated 9 Mar 51 at Hill 200 (I think) near Chowon, Korea. My Dad says he is replacing the 1st Sgt named MckCain and that Capt. Bridges was their CO. Two P&A platon Sgts are listed, a Sgt Redding and a Sgt Williams. I am interested in anyone who may have know my Dad. Later we were in Hokkaido with him shortly before I joined the USAF.

Having died only 20 years old he didn't have much time to give to his family. So any memories of him would be greatly appreciated. Comments: My Uncle Steve received a Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge in 1950. On July 18, 1950 nearly 200 men from A Company of the 7th Calvary Regiment landed in Pohang, Korea. Only fourteen made it back. That morning the group made an amphibious landing off the Sea of Japan to begin their assault. In the hours to come, the men would see some intense fighting. "We got bombarded," Brenchak said. "We were cornered on this mountain. Only 14 of us are living today."

Comments: Does anyone know of a battle that took place in June of 1951. My father has spoken of a battle that took place after a short cease fire broke down. The fighting lasted six days of fierce fighting. On the sixth day, there was less than 100 men from the 1st Battalion left standing. A Col. Bill Harris, who had a saddle mounted on the hood of his jeep, took them there were going back into the battle. A soldier pulled his 45, and the Col's. driver pushed the Col. in the jeep and sped off. This was the last time my father said he ever saw the Col. Also, there were two men walking down the road and stopped a jeep and told the driver that was all the transportation Co. C needed. If anyone could tell me more about this battle I would greatly appreciate it.

Comments: My father, Bennie Fleming Davis, recently passed away. He was a member of the 7th Cavalry. He was in the Korean War. He was stationed for a while in Japan, both before and after the war. I have heard rumors that his unit was overrun by the Chinese Communists and he was captured. When I was a little boy, my brothers and sisters and I would ask my father about his time in Korea, but he never spoke about it. I don't know what unit/regiment/batallion he was in, but if anyone served with him or knew him and the history of his military service, I would appreciate you contacting me. My brothers and sisters and I would like to learn more about that part of our father's life. Incidentally, he was also a member of the 7th Cavalry Association, and attended numerous banquets and award dinners around the country with my mother. I have submitted a Freedom Of Information request to the Army for all records pertaining to my father, but I am not expecting very much of substance. Thank you, and God Bless.

Comments: My father, Sgt. Delbert Rice, served with Co. D and was is Korea from March to December. In some of his stories he has mentioned a "Tiny" Wagner, "Yum Yum" Johnson, a "Ramano" and others he cannot remember. If anyone knows anything about these men or my father, I would greatly appreciate hearing your stories.
