Comments: My grandfather was PFC Delmo Ralph Howard, and he served in HQ Co with the 724th in 51 & 52. Unfortunately, he died in 1966 long before I was born. I have no memory and very little information about him. Im trying to get in contact with anyone that might have known him or served with him. At the very least if someone would please contact me with information where I could find a Unit patch for the 724th Id be very grateful.
Thanks for your time & service. C.M. Howard

Comments: Hello, I am a volunteer at the Air Force Space & Missile Museum here at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Within a few weeks we will be adding a locomotive to our outdoor "rocket garden" at the museum. The locomotive is a EMD SW-8 Switcher number 2021, it has been used here at the Cape since 1965 to move around components of the Titan rocket. At one time locomotives numbers 2000, 2007, and 2021 were all here at the Cape, we understand that all three of these were also with the 724'th in Korea. We are looking for anyone who can tell us more about 2021---so that we may share its complete history with the visitors to the museum. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to help, thank you.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who might have known my dad Joesph Felso he doesn't speak of the war much and I would like to know what his unit did and what life was like for him. Unfortunatly I have very little information available to give. However, I do have a letter dated 1-27-53 that was sent to my grandmother after a fire destroyed half the compound letting her know everyone was ok.

Comments: I was an engineer in the 724th Railway Battalion, running between Pusan and Taejon, and some yard work, from Apr 1954 to Feb 1955. I remember that the Commander was Capt. Stankovich at that time, but have trouble remembering hardly anyone else. I trained at Ft Eustis from Apr 1953 to Mar 1954 with the 714th Railway Battalion. Sorry to say that I have very few pictures.

Comments: My father was Bill Dunn. He passed away a few years ago but in an old photo album, I have found photos of his time in Korea. I am still waiting to recieve his records but know he was in Korea from Jul 1953 to December 1954. There is a photo of the sign for the 724th so I am assuming that is where he was based from. He was originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area. A few photos have names but most say things like "the old gang." I would enjoy hearing from any veterans that served during this time frame about your experiences. Is there a site where we can post photos?

His Basic was at Ft. Eustis in '51 and shipped to S. Korea out of Sasebo, Japan, in May '51 aboard the Marine Sargeant. I would appreciate contact with anyone with unit history, personal recollections, or any info they think would be of interest. Comments: I'm seeking anyone who might have known John Holland. I don't know that he was a member of the 724th, but he served in Korea and was an engineer on a train there. John is my uncle, and never spoke of his time in Korea, but he passed away last week (05/30/04) and only as a result of his passing did we learn some of his military history. We would love to know more. Please email me at rayr@rayrandolph.com if you can help!
