Comments: Searching for members of the 69th chemical. My father, Vernon "Pete" Hooper, talks fondly of many of his friends, would like to find them if possible.

comments: I am researching the unit my deceased father served in during
Korean War. My father, Nicholas Pappageorge, served with the 69th
Chemical Smoke Generator Company during the approximate period of
May 1951 to Oct 1952. Can you help me discover:

1) Who the 69th Chemical Smoke Generator Company was.
2) What the 69th's mission was (e.g., military role); and
3) What major division(s), if any, were they attached to.

I've seen postings from vets in the 68th Chemical Smoke Company - by
chance is this a "sister" unit?

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
