Comments: According to my father's DD214, between 1957 and 1959, he was stationed at HQ CO EUSA PC 20.

I would like some help in learning more about what that designation means and hopefully more about my father in the process.

Any help would be apreciated.

Thank you.

Comments: My father, Roberto Luis Colo'n (pronounced like Cologne), passed away last April. In the aftermath, I have aquired his discharge papers. These papers answered questions that he would never talk about when I was growing up. I am looking for any Korean War veteran who knew my dad. He served from Sept. of '51 to May of '53. I know that he lost at least one very close friend who died in his arms in combat. (This I learned from my mother years ago.) I just found out for the first time in my life that he was awarded 2 bronze stars, a combat infantryman bandge, and 2 other decorations. If you are a Korean War Veteran who knew my dad (or a child of a vet who knew him) please email me. I would like to learn more of what my father and his comrads went through.

Thanks. Robert

Comments: I am also a veteran and a proud Puertorican. I served in Korea but, not during the war. My time was during the late 70's. I saw 1st hand the many sites that owr fellow Puertoricans fought and died. It is inportant that the truth about the 65th Infantry Division is told. I love the history channel and see so many stories been told about, Black Americans, Japanees Americans, Jewish Americans and so on. I strongly belive that the history channel do their homework and do a story telling the world about the 65th Infantry Division and the men that fought gallantly and with great honor and pride.

Comments: Although I had heard of the 65th Infantry since I was small, only recently have I become familiar with its extraordinary history during the Korean War. I am writing a book to honor the memory of the men who fought so gallantly during that conflict, and would appreciate any information from any veterans or family of veterans related to that topic. I thank you all in advance for any information you can provide.

Comments: My father was in D Co.during the battle of Hunguam, Korea,on Dec.22, 1950. For his actions in this battle he received the Bronze Medal. We are searching for anyone that might have known him and can tell us more. As a veteran myself, I understand sometimes wanting to forget. I am trying to pass down our family military legacy to my son and his sons. Is there anyone who would like to share stories of my father with me. He passed a couple of years ago, and was trying to tell us of his life, until he lost the ability to comunicate and pass away. Any information of him and his friends will be happily received.

Thank you.

Comments: My father, Pedro Luis Candelario Alicea, born in Lares, PR, served in Korea in 1952-1953 in M Company, 3rd battalion, 65th Infantry. I've heard him mention Kelly Hill and Pork Chop Hill. He passed away on 6/27/2006, at the age of 80. While he was in the hospital he kept mentioning the name "Tony." Does anyone out there, who served in Korea with M Co. know my father, or "Tony"? After coming off line with the 40th Infantry Division, 224th Regiment at the very beginning of February 1953 I was reassigned as cadre to the 65th Infantry Regiment and as a sergeant I helped reform the regiments Heavy Mortar Company. I remained with the company until August 1953. There were some of those men on the ship that brought us home. Anyone who was there at that time or remember me please get in touch.
