Comments: My Dad was in that military hospital. He was a nurse and I was not born until 1965. I grew up loving MASH because that was similar to what my Dad did while in the Military Police Action that was renamed the Korean War.If anyone remembers him please share with me. My Dad passed away 3/10/2007 @ 5:30AM. I was told that he had expired by the Veterens home doctor via my voice male.My Dad was drafted by this great country of ours, he was an only child that should not have been drafted! Then in his death given the dignity of a peice of trash! What was he a gallon of milk,he expired!!!My father was more proffessional in his life than that doctor who barley spoke english ever could be EVER, in my eyes!! Plus this great country wiped out my parents because when my Dad came home with Malaria he was able to get quinine to treat it, hence never documented so when he required a higher level of care in his old age, the government took his entire pension over $2000 a month plus they wanted additional money from my mother who's household income just dropped to less than 1/4 of what is was prior. Some shit the way we treat our vets and their families! Like your FREEDOM? Thank a soldier or a veteran!!!!

Comments: My Father, Capt. James E. Whitford, MD went from Koje-do to a Hospital in Tokyo where he worked on infectious diseases. I am trying to locate LT. ROBERT MITZ who was in the hospital with my dad. He believes it was the 869 Army Hospital or the 8469 Army Hospital. Lt. Mitz may not want to be found, as my Dad was his Best Man at Lt. Mitz's wedding!! Peace and Healing to All, Nancy Kappes

It would make a very interesting story for those of us who saw some of this conflict. Anxious to make contact with anyone I have known.
