According to Johnson's list, he was killed in action as a POW on 14 July 1950. What were the circumstances surrounding his death and which camp was he interned at?
He was with the 24th Infantry Division, 63rd Field Artillery Battalion (as possibly a truck driver) at the time.

DID YOU KNOW MSGT KENNETH H. STOKES |

Dennis Stokes wrote on 1999-11-04 00:00:00.0
Comments: I am a nephew of MSGT Kenneth H Stokes who was reported "killed in action" on 14 July 1950 while serving with the 63 FAB, 24th Infantry Division. Kenneth's body was never found and we have never known what happened to him. Did he die in battle that day? Did he die later as a POW? Is there anyone who can tell me about him, or give me some idea what happened to the 63rd FAB that terrible July which might suggest what his fate was.
My dad (Kenneth's brother) also told me that some reports (unconfirmed) may place his death as 27 Sep 1950
Can anyone help?

John Philip Kendig, who was assigned to 24th Div, 63rd Field
Artillery,Battery B, who was listed as mia on 14 July, 1950 near
Sang Yo-Ri(?)
He was later listed as dying of pneumonia on 5 January, 1951, in an

family would really like to know more, but information they got from the
army is sketchy. Any assistance or direction is appreciated.
