Comments: To9 any one who was in Korea in 1952 with the 630th Engineers who built the 6000 foot airstrip at Yanggu, are you awear that this airfield is still being used today, now it has been paved and is controlled by the Republic of Korea Army, the configureation has changed a little, it is now listed as G-404, a tribute to the 630th Engineers workmen ship. Let me hear from some of you guys, we are getting older by the day, Floyd King, 1st platoon shovel and dragline operator.

Comments: Spent most of my time working out of Quon Nuon.I was usually on a cat 12 road grader. One time, we were sent to work on highway 1 and we made camp in an artilliary camp. We were in the field about 3 months.

Comments: The airstrip we built was 5000 feet long with a taxi way just short of that. We were trying to allow space for four,twenty four engine planes. I remember the cold, the heat and the food or lack of it.

Comments: The Yanggu airdrome was built in 1951-and finished in July 1, 1952, my main interest was the base ever used? I did see some planes land there. I would like to talk to SSgt John DeShetler, maybe I can fill in some voids at K52.

Comments: when i joined the company our eqipment and personnel were scattered. we regrouped to build an airfeild at yangu and many units were sent to us tdy. we worked round the clock to complete same so an aircraft could and be considered operational as to the truce talks which had begun.would be interested if members of this company have reunions and any other info on persons who were there with me.
