I served with the 623d artillery battalion while in Korea, we were
located in the central sector ,as a matter of fact where the 2d Div is
locatated now at camp casey was the rear area, both the 7th and 25th
division`s was in that sector we were a 155 howitizer unit so we
supported whichever unit was there at the time to include the turks and
other UN units.

I happened upon your web site while searching for my father. He would

My Dad's full name is Dirk John Kleyn, he went by John. He was a
gunner, highest rank was Sgt. Company Charlie, 623rd field artillery.
He is especially looking for Slim Estes from Corpus Christi TX who was
injured by the recoil of his howitzer. As I stated before he was there
from April 1952 to July 1953. I am sure that he would enjoy hearing
from any of those that served with him.
Thank you,
