| ARTHUR VITELLO wrote on January 10, 2009 CITY AND STATE: HAMDEN CT UNIT: 3RDID SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: Does anyone know some history behind this worst air disaster of June 18, 1953? My Uncle Sherman C. Canney was on that flight and he has 2 surviving family members and one of them is his sister June, my mother, and I would like to give her something to show for his service to our country. Where they were going? What service ribbons, medals, etc. were these soldiers awarded, since the June, 18, 1953. Peace Keywords: Sherman C.
