For awhile he was listed as MIA and was subsequently listed as KIA. I have researched the US Army Quartermaster website and other Korean War websites. Men from the QM Graves Registration Company were assigned to the 24th IR, 25thIR and 1st Cav Divisions. Also, eleven seperate cemeteries were estab. by the 8th Army during the first two months of fighting. My uncle arrived in Pusan, August 1950 and was killed September 1950. Is anyone familiar with these units or did anyone serve in one of these units? For anyone that served in these units: Thank you for taking care of my uncle and thank you for bringing him home. I was in the 1st platoon 3rd squard. Do you remember Sgt. Smith our field 1st Sgt? Also will share pictures if you have them.
