SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: ARMY VETERAN Comments: I was assigned to the 563rd. from fall of 74' to my discharge in the summer of 77'. I cannot recall the date but it was during 76' that our company commander, Capt. Schmit told us that during the Korean war our company was awarded a unit commendation(it was a red ribbon with a gold band around it). While we were assigned to the company we all wore this ribbon.
