| DWIGHT EAST SR. wrote on February 8, 2010 City and State: SPARTA TN Unit: 551ST TRANSPORTATION/TRUCK CO Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN Comments: I was delighted to find your web site and was hoping you might be able to assist us in locating the patch/emblem from the Army - 551st Transportation Unit/Truck Company from the Korean Conflict. I was in the Korean War serving with the Army from October 1952 through November 1953 - locations Pusan and Hyundai, Korea. In addition to driving trucks and delivering ammo, I was later assigned as the Acting Mess Sergeant. The 551st Transportation Truck Company, as I recall, was under the 354th Battallion Company Commander - Captain David Neiro. Also, In 1952 received basic training at Fort Eustis and MOT training at Fort Story. If you can, please advise if you might be able to locate or at least share a copy of the 551st Transportation/Truck Company or 354th Battallion patches/emblems, etc. Any information you provide will be much appreciated.
