He was in the Corp of Engineers and proudly wore the 1st Cavalry patch throughout his 20 year career in the U.S. Army. He died in 1981. While in Camp Fowler, Sendai, Japan, I was First Cook and later Mess Sergeant in Korea until I was sent home in October 1951. I am 59 years old and am trying to put together all I can on my father for my two sons. I have some photos with signs in the background for this outfit and some notes about Yong Dong Po. Other than a few ribbons and medals from WWII and korea I have very little. My father retired in 1964, had a military funeral at Ft.
