Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: My name is Jeffrey Sweeney and I recently developed 16mm film that my grandfather had taken during his time in Korea. The filmed was packaged with his unit address which included the 539th QM LDRY Co. I read the above comments and Harley Bogart mentions replacing my grandfather as the motor pool sgt in Yong dong Po. Mr. Bogart's name is listed on a motorpool board that was in the footage. If anyone knows my grandfather or worked with him you might be included in the film. I am trying to identify anyone in the film and also looking for other soldiers that may have served with Lawrence "Bill" Sweeney. Was made company clerk and then later made supply sgt. Have often wondered what happened to Capt Jerome Marston, the company CO. He was a father figure to many of us young guys and a fine leader. Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN - KOREA Comments: I arrived in the company the frist week of Dec. 1952 and left before Thanksgiving 1953. Worked in the ldry and drove the mail truck. also was motor sgt. after Sweeney came home. found that Glass died on the operating table about 1985. Like to hear from anyone from the outfit. I was company clerk. Transfered to Hq and Hq Co. 5th Cavalry Reg. Ist Cav. Div. Spent about 4 more months in Korea and went back to the states. Was personnel clerk with 5th Cav. Discharged 1/21/54.
