Comments: My father is now 77 and is, for the first time, starting to talk about his Korean War experiences. I want to preserve, honor, and know as much as possible. For him, for me, and for his Grandson.

Please, if you can send any info on the 519 MP Battalion.... I'm not sure of the year... Maybe '53? 55? You have his name and DOB which should be helpful.... please, it's very important to me. Keywords: Ben is 83 now and is still ticking. Assigned to the 519th,Ben Left Oklahoma University to serve in Korea.

Ben also served in Japan in the 720th MP Battalion. during occupied Japan and served as a Model for the statue that was kept at 720th HQ until it disappeared prior to the units departure from Japan.

Be was a golden gloves Boxer. He also boxed in the Military.

He was aand still is a real fire cracker.

Looking for 8th Army 519th M.P. 'C' Vets

(This is his daughter) His name is Harold Gordon Davis, aka: Little Dave, Preacher Dave, Deacon Dave & H.G. He served in the 8th Army, Company C, 519th M.P. Bn in the 10th Corp area of North Korea. unusual 519th helmet

Comments: I recently purchased an unusual helmet on ebay. I am very interested in artifacts from the Korean War. This helmet is beautifully marked with red/white stripe, a decal of the unit, the numbers of the unit and the large letters "MP" on the front. A bullet has struck the front, but indented deeply only (not penetrating). I was wondering what the circumstances might have been for being struck by an enemby bullet. I know that MP units worked up front. If anyone has speculation to share, I'd be interested in hearing from you. Allen Andrews (retired history teacher who admires your service)

Comments: I transferred from the 772 MP Bn,Korea,to Co C, 519 MP Bn, Tokyo in May or Jun 1955. We were first billeted in the NYK, Bldg across from the Emporers Palace. Later we Moved to Hardy Barracks. The Bn Motor Pool was at the Tsukiji (?) fish market. I was a Corporal at the time. I first worked Patrol and then became a Desk Sgt. Then went to the Vice Squad (MSG Chagami, NCOIC). It was deactivated and I then went to AWOL Apprehension (SFC David Martin,NCOIC). I stayed with AWOL apprehension until the 519th was deactivated and became the 212 MP Co, assigned tothe 1st Cav. I wore the yellow scarf one day as I was getting on the boat to return to CONUS.

Comments: I was an MP patroling Tokyo, Japan from 1955 to 1956. I have two pictures of the company party held in the Rocker Four Club in Tokyo 24 October 1955. I will share the picture with anyone who wants one.

B Co 519th MP

Comments: My Father Macie Myers was in the B C0 519th MP Battalion in Korea. He was stationed at Chom Poing Knee, Chunchon. I have a lot of his old pictures of him and some friends he knew while there. He died several years ago, and I knew nothing of his time in Korea, if anyone knew him, drop me line.
