Comments: I am looking for anyone who served with my father, Corporal James W. Newbrough, US 52 195 278, 1st Ordnance Company (DS), APO 20, United States Army from February 5, 1953 to January 31, 1955.

He was in the Korean War and I believe he was stationed near Yang-Gu, Korea. I also have a paper which lists his address at the time as the 518th Ord. Co. (DS), APO 20. I know he would appreciate finding out about some of his buddies, thank you.

Comments: Sgt. Billy F. Lockridge U.S. Army, 518th Ordinance Direct Support (518 ORD CO DS) Yangu, Korea, February 1953 - June 1954

My Father is a Korean War Veteran, and served during the above dates. When released from the Army, he returned to his home town of Centre, Alabama and never left! He returned from Korea (along with 3300 other lucky souls) on the USS Marine Serpent. It was a 30 day trip, and to this day, Dad doesn't care to ever leave the U.S. again. Especially not by boat.

He married Robbie Ann Daniel June 5, 1955, and retired from Inland Rome Papermill (Rome, GA) a few years back. He has two sons, Jason Lee Lockridge (married Janet Sanford) and Joel Daniel Lockridge (me, married Upali Dutta), and two grandchildren by Jason & Janet, Lindsey & Alec Joseph (A.J.), and one by Joel and Upali, Jessalyn Kiran Lockridge.

He has spoken many times of many people from the War. He would love to hear from any of his old friends. The email address will come to me -- I will gladly forward the information on to him!

Case factory workers that went to france/Germany between 1951 and 1954 I believe. Thanks very much for your time.

Finding SFC Frank G. Lowe

I am really interested in the 518th Ordnance Co (DS)The DS is for direct
support.I believe the designation MM was when it was a medium maintnance
company.

I was with the Co from Jan 1953 till July 1954.I understand the Co. was
dissolved shortly thereafter and the colors sent to Ft Hood Tx.

I was a wrecker operator the entire time I was there and saw much of the
country side.I spent many days and nites with the the heavy artillery
units changing tubes and with the Engineers doing whatever with my 6 ton
wrecker needed to be done.Oxrieder Boulevard was a familiar place.

I have been trying for years to locate a SFC Frank G. Lowe who was my
Recovery Section Chief during 1953.I can only assume he made the
military his career as I saw him a number of years later in Europe but
lost track of him after that.I'm quite sure he spent two tours of duty
in Korea rotating the last time in 53.

Keep up the good work And I'll keep searching
