My dad, who passed away in 1994, seldom spoke of his time in Korea as a medic, with the 187th RCT, but when he did I could tell it was not a cake walk. He served from 1951-1953 and spoke of the horrible injuries he witnessed. I do know that he always had terrible nightmares, and would come up swinging, from a solid sleep. I would like to find out what he was actually involved in. When he enlisted he hailed from Baltimore, Md. and had a good friend named Buddy enlist with him. He was discharged on the west coast and drove cross country before his car blew up. I would love to swap emails with anyone willing to discuss their times in korea with me.
