| JENNIFER GREGORY wrote on April 16, 2003 City and State: COLUMBIA CITY IN Unit: 513 TRANSPORTATION UNIT Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: My father served in the 513th Transportation Unit during his time in Korea. He was there for about 18 months; from 1950-52. He was from near Pittsburgh, PA; a small town there called Munntown, PA. He did his basic training in Fort Belvare, VA. My mother said he told her he drove a garbage truck. I'm sure he did lots of things! My father died 11 years ago and he never told us much about Korea; he did mention special friends he had made and had some unique pictures but I think there was too much emotion and pain associated with it also. If you knew him or have any information; please e-mail me. Thank you. Keywords: |
