Korean War Museum Donations

Comments: Dear 507th Signal Service Company Veterans

The Korean War Veterans National Museum and Library is currently collecting funds for it's new building. It will be built in a central location rather than on the East or West Coast. It will be built in Springfield, Illinois. Several members of the 507th expressed interest in making a group donation in the 507th's name.

I am currently soliciting contributions for this cause. If you wish to join us, make a tax deductible check out to: Korean War Veterans National Museum & Library I will gather all the contributions and forward them to the Building Fund with a cover letter to credit the contributions to our organization. I will set a date of December 1, 2006 as the date I will forward the checks.

We hope you can join this effort and contribute what you can afford. No amount is too large or too small. Many of us intend to visit the Museum when it is dedicated.

I'm An Orphan From Inchon, Korea

Comments: On this Christmas Day, I reflect on the soldiers all over the world and I can't thank enough to those GI's that fought in Korea to save my country, Korea, what an honorable thing! I will always feel so deeply indebted to them all, and especially my heart goes out to those that never made it home. As I was driving home from my in-laws today, I saw a DL that read: "POW Survivor", I have to admit my heart was very heavy/saddened, I can't imagine the pain and suffering he went thru for his country's sake. I wanted so much to give him a salute to show him my deep respect. I give a salute to all the GI's that fought in the Korean War. A sincere thanks, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Comments: Arrived Korea, Inchon repo-depo 9-51 To Pusan for re-training 3-4 weeks. Back to Inchon 21st TMP Signal. Radio op to Jan 1953. Played lots of pinochle in the club. Only a PFC. Ran station for a few months after Cpl Oto returned stateside. Anyone remembers,have slides of manym short on names.
