Was truck driver to pick up rations and water,then went in to kithen as cook and baker.Trying to rember name of CO.Rember 11th EVAC was across the road. AN APO and replacment center petrolum dump were close by.Rember fellow Delush,Julyfrom IL. LT. Burkhead at712th Trs. Ry. Opr. Bn. was from Louisville, Ky. gave us ice from grave reg. RR cars. have photos.

Keywords: I was with the Signal Corp. and TDY'd to the 47th OLAM in Korea around October '50 until I rotated home in December of '51. We repaired and maintained the radio equipment on aircraft starting with the L-4's and L-5's, and then the L-19 Birdog, Hiller H-23 Helicopter and the Bell H-13 Helicopter. My last location was outside Yongdongpo (not sure on spelling) after being chased out of North Korea after the Chinese entered the conflict. Anyone else remember this unit in Korea?

Comments: I served the 47th OLAM dec 1951 went home from the TAAM 47th jan 53,hard to remember most of the members as never met anyone in civilian life from the time period my MOS 3995 rotary wing and Mos 3008 fixed wing,there was a jeep clled the hot canary with a bird breathing fire on the hood of the jeep, which i painted....tom

Comments: I can't locate any information about 46 TAAM Co. I have a large patch from a friend who passed away. It is 11 1/4", says 46 TAAM CO, KOREA, CHOPPER DOCTOR. It pictures a helicopter on crutches with a said face with an army hat on and a mechanic eager to fix chopper with tool in hand. Can you tell me about this. Please email back.

i served with the 47th taam co. from 10/53 until 1955 when it
moved to hawaii. i did not have enough time left to go along.
till that time we were located at uijongbo next to i corp.
we had an u shaped air strip with two rows of tents on the
north side.
