Comments: My father passed away last year and i miss his presence and his company dearly . He served in WWII and Korea with the 45th infantry. His name was Leonard Biggoose out of ponca city ok . I was wondering if any one remembered him or have stories.I just want my children know the greatest man I never Knew was their Grand father someone they can look up to and admire.I never relized the sacrafice he made for our country.

Comments: Jim Hanna is my grandfather and raised me. I have about 100 pictures of him and the 45thMP unit in Korea. I think one of his buddies was a Joe Pembrose (Pembroke). I have not scanned them, but am working on it. If you served in this unit, I may be able to share some pictures with you

Comments: Anybody remember me? Joined the company early May 1953. after cease fire moved the Division to Yangu. Early 1954 was on tdy in Chunchon at rel-depo.Than transfered to 3rd MPCo for my remaining time in Korea.

Help needed

Today I met a man who was in the 45th MP Co., 45th Inf Div. during the
Korean war and is trying to get a copy of his military records, however,
he was informed that records were in a fire in St Louis, and apparently
no information is available. Maybe someone knows where to go for unit
records with rosters, etc. He needs the info. to prove that he was on
active duty in Korea. His name is Robert B. Tinsley. Originally from
Mississippi. Retired from Illinois Central Railroad. Any information or
direction would be appreciated by Mr. Tinsley. Maybe some of his buddies
remember him. He indicated that the asst.commanding general of the
division at that time was a Brig. Gen PD Ginder.
