Comments: I am looking for more information on COL George N. Kibler who was in this unit during the Korean War. Would like to know where he was from and what his job was while in Korea. When did he pass away? What was his wife's name? I recently bought a pin on Ebay that belonged to his wife and has his picture of him and his son in it. I am going keep the photos and put my husband, SGT. Michael Connor of 2/3 Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson and to be deployed to Kuwait next week, in this pin locket to do just as Mrs. Kibler did and wear it every day. Thanks for any forthcoming information everyone and God Bless America! Truly, Heidi Connor

Comments: I am the eldest son of CPT William G. Jackson, who served as the personnel adjutant of the 45th Engineer Group during the Korean War. His service spanned from sometime in 1951 through mid 1954. For his service in Korea, CPT Jackson was awarded the Bronze Star and from the Korean Government, the Chungmu DMSM medal (one of the most beautiful medals I have ever seen). Unfortunately, CPT Jackson passed away prematurely in early 1962, before he could pass on to his 9 children the legacy of his involvement in this, America's Forgotten War. I do remember some discussions between my father and mother concerning his participation in the construction of an orphange for Korean children. The plight of these children nevered failed to bring tears to the eyes of my father. I am trying to assembly a memorial display case of my father's service memorabilia and a biography so that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren will know something of the very loving and giving gentleman from whom they are descended. Anyone having any information on or recollection of CPT William G. Jackson, C.E., O-1646275, Personnel Adjutant, 45th Engineer Group; please contact me. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and God Bless all of you who served in this war.
