Comments: We were 8th Army, 32nd Battalion. We were near Wonju area, in charge of maintaining the Main Supply Route for any delivery system going north.

We had a full complement of men and machines for anything from road grading to blowing out the side of mountains to improve road conditions.I was a Dump truck driver and the compressor operator for all pneumatic tools(jackhammers, etc.)

Some of the names I remember are Wilfong, Owens, Mitchel, Connely, Tingley.

Hope someone reads this that was in my outfit and E-mails me as to the status of it now.

Again E-mail address is hump2@raex.com

Comments: Am interested in knowing if the 430 ECB has a reunion planned or scheduled? I was with "B" Company from Sept 53-to-Oct54, then to 73 ECB 19th Group till Feb 55. I am trying to locate a couple of buddies from "B" Co., Loren Pensinger,- Swederzinky,-McCauley,-and Charlie Schwall. Not sure of the spelling. Our Company compound was in the Chunchon area. Any information or comments will be appreciated.

Comments: I am a Life member. Website is great !

Best wishes to Norb Reiner, a great guy and worker fo this organization.

The 430th Engineers was a Washington, DC Reserve Unit, made up mostly of WWII vets. We were the first District Unit mobilized for the Korean War. I would like to know if that Bn. is an active Reserve Unit now.

We were called to active duty in Jul. 1950, went to Camp Carson, left aboard th Gen John Pope in Jan. 1951

Thanks for the reply !

Best Wishes: Buster
