Frank J Priore (Frank D) from Philadelphia PA

Comments: Hello again, I've found dad's dd-214. it is under the name Frank J Priore not Frank D. He did at times switch middle names from John to Daniel. Daniel was his confirmation name. Dad was in the Army from 03/06/1951 to 03/25/1953. He was mustered out in New Jersey at Camp Kilmer.He was then transfered to the reserves for 5 years in the Second Army. Dad was a PFC(T). Thanks again for any help. I would love to know exactly what outfits he was with during his tour.

Comments: Does anyone remember serving with Frank D Priore from Philadelphia PA? He did his basic in Arizona and was transfered to the 417th. He spoke at times of someone named Gagney and I have a photo of him with a fellow named Sears. He was my dad. If you did know him I would love any information you might have. Sadly he passed away in 1984, I think of him more often now and I would like to know more about him in his youth. He was so proud of what you all did in Korea. I'm proud too. His image was chosen from one of the Army file photos to be on the Korean War Memorial. I wish he was here to see it. He would be beaming. I don't think dad was in Korea after 1953. Comments: My husband, Joe Joyce was in the 417th Engineer Aviation Brigade from November 1953 to October 1955. He passed away July 22, 2007. Anyone passing on any Army memories would be appreciated. Someone might remember he played Irish music on the button accordion and he was from Boston. Yakima Canutt and Bob Schiller were in the same unit. I have some photos of Joe taken in Korea and Japan. A couple of photos with an Army Buddy nicknamed "Hooker" who I believe passed away since.

Comments: I was with the 417th from 1/54 until about 7/55. We were at K2 near Taegu from 1/54 until about 5/54. Then we moved the whole unit to AAshuya Air Force Base, in Ashiya Japan. I was there ufor about one year. Would love to hear from any one I served with. We were the MPs in that unit.
