Comments: My father, Cpl Dale B Holly, served in Korea from May '52 - June '53 as a driver at 40th Division Headquarters Battery. I am helping him locate those he knew while there. He mentioned the names Henry H Jennings & Daniel Faulkner as tent mates and fellow drivers. If you know my father or either of these gentlemen, please contact me. Thank you.

Comments: Hello, I am looking for information about my father, Richard J. Henke. I have a few facts, but he left our family when I was young and I never had further contact with him. Here is what I know: He was born in Missouri on Oct. 6, 1923 and died Oct. 10, 1983, supposedly under curious circumstances in Las Vegas. He joined the National Guard after he returned from WWII, the 40th Division. He was stationed at Camp Cook before he reported to duty in Korea. He came home on compassionate leave when my brother was born in 1951 and then had to return to Korea. I was told that he was responsible for loading bombs onto the planes and he saw so much devastation it affected him deeply. He had a very bad temper.

I would love to know more about this person who was absent for most of my life. You can contact me at cherylwsd1@cox.net. Thank you! You all have my utmost respect for serving our country.

Comments: I was drafted and I was sent to California to be in the 40th Inf. Div.

I went to Japan around April 1951. I got very seasick for the first few days. I had an 8mm movie camera and I took a number of videos. In Japan we continued our basic training. In Japan I set up an Amatuer Radio Station and made contact with the states so that some of the men could speak home by me contacting a Ham close to their home town and he would use a phone patch to contact the persons home.

I got discharged in Nov.1952. I went to engineering school and then worked with the air force at an AC&W squardon in Canada teaching Radar. I was there for 18 months.

While in Korea I took a number of video's which I recently downloaded to my computer and then burned a DVD. I retired 12 years ago from a high tech company where I was engineering manager. I been in a number of newspapers with some of my idea's. I designed the remote starter for my car in 1957. I could start my car up to 2 miles away. I am now into song writing. I live in NY but my daughters live in Florida and my son lives in Michigan.

I would love to hear from anyone that knew me and even if you did not know me write.

Have a great week. Irwin Dresner IRWINHAM@VERIZON.NET

I was in Headquarters & Headquarters Battery, 40th Infantry Division. I was a draftee placed in the activated California National Guard unit in November 1950 in Camp Cooke. I went with the unit to Japan in April of 1951 and on to Korea in January of 1952. I served on liason duty with the 6th ROK, the 2nd ROK and with, I think, the I Corps. I rotated home in October of 1952.

I would like to hear from anyone I served with, or anyone else interested in communicating.

Comments: My father, 1st Lt. Cecil F. Jordan, was killed in Korea on 2-5-52. This was just before my 3rd birthday-I never got the chance to know him. If anyone served with him or knows anything about circumstances surrounding his death that knowledge would be greatly appreciated-no matter how painful it may be. At my age now (52) I am still very curious-the government told us virtually nothing. Do you know specifically where? How? Time of day? Extent of injuries? Any last words or thoughts? Thats the kind of info I'm interested in.
