Comments: My brother was 17 years old. On february 13, 1951 he was wounded with a head wound and passed out. when he woke up his hands were tied behind his back with wire and he could feel the dried blood on the side of his face. It was the first that he knew that he was a P.O.W. we are looking for anyone who was with him. He mentions another soldier, first name "Louie" from New York. he knows that he survived and wnet home with him.
Cannot remember Lou's last name... If you know him could you please contact us. We are trying to get Richard his Purple Heart that we know he is entitled too.

Comments: Hello, I am looking for any and all information on Capt. Kenneth Swenson, my uncle, who was KIA on 29 November, 1951, in here it says Kunuri-area. I was only 2 when he was killed, and have begun to try to capture more detail regarding his role and responsibilities throughout his military career. I know he was wounded twice in WWII near Aachen, spent some time at Ft. Lewis before going to Korea on 4 July 1951. I will assume he was a company commander but am not sure as have been unable to find any other info with detail. If anyone can fill in any of the blanks it would truly be appreciated. Many fail to appreciate the sacrifices our many fine young men have made for our country. I haven't. Thank you!

LOOKING FOR A CORPORAL

DEIRDRE DAVISON wrote on September 21, 2010

Comments: Greetings,

My father was an army photographer in the Korean War. He sketched a portrait of a corporal from the 38th infantry, 2nd div in 1952. My father passed away a few years ago and I would like to find the gentleman in the drawing or his family so that I can give him/them the drawing. The soldier's name is nowhere on the sketch. Are there any archival pictures of the 2nd division from 1952 that I might be able to compare the pictures against my father's drawing?

Can anyone help me or put me in contact with someone who can help me? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Deirdre Davison
