Comments: I would like to make contact with anyone who served in Korea with my father, Julian G. McDonald. He received a letter of commendation from Gilbert T. Scott (Company "A" 378th Engineer Battalion (Combat) APO 264) that mentions the Kinsal Bridge in 1954. His discharge paper says "Combat Engr-Co C 39th EBC." We have pictures that he sent to his parents, but most of the people are not identified by full names.

378th Combat Engineers, detached

I am trying to track down some war buddies of my father.

My father, Norman Gerber #US551210905 was assigned to the 378th
Combat Engineers, but was always on detached service. He was drafted
on 2/26/51, and was discharged on 5/31/53.

He trained in Camp Rucker, Alabama. He was injured on 4/2/52. He lost
his leg when his tractor hit a mine.

He was sent directly to the States when he was injured, so he has
never spoken to any of his old buddies since then.

All of the information I have is their names and the above info on my
father. Their names are: Bobby Brown and Robert Brown, both of
North Carolina.

If you have any information on where I can track down these two men,
or how I can get information on them, please contact me ASAP.

I would like to make some connection with them for my father's
Christmas Present. This is one of his biggest regrets in life, and I
would like to give him the opportunity to talk to these men again.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Where can I find history on this unit? I understand it was a Guard

Also, would be interested if the unit ever has had or has reunions.
Thank you for any information you can provide. Keep up the good
