Comments: My father, Tom Christensen, served in the Korean War. He died five years ago. I am looking to find anyone that served with him. 7th Inf Div. 32nd Regiment, I Co. He had basic training in Fort Riley Kansas. Other than that, I don't have any information on him - where he fought, etc. Would very much appreciate where to locate some of his buddies. I have names - don't know how to search for this. Thanks.

Comments: I am interested in finding someone who may have known my father in Korea. He served in the 32nd Inf. Reg., 7th Inf. Div., K Co., 3rd Bn. His name was Francis Keith Glover. I would like to know where he fought in Korea, because he would not talk about the war to me or any of his other children. I am currently trying to get his war metals replaced by the Army, because they were stolen from our house when I was a child.

Comments: I am trying to help my father locate the history
of the unit he served in while in Korea.

We are trying to find out if log books exsist with
this particular unit that would have a day to day
account of the events that took place.

We are particularly interested on the events that
took place on the evening of February 13/14, 1953.

He served with the 3rd Platoon, I Company, 32
Infantry Reg, 7th Infantry Div.

We are trying to locate a copy of General Orders
#14, Head Quarters, 32nd Inf Reg, 7th Div, dated
14 Feb, 1953. He was wounded and received the
Purple Heart.

He speaks of entering at Pusan, was there for
just a few days, and was off to the "middle of
now where", no towns, no villages, at the bottom
of a mountain, in the area of Pork Chop Hill,
what he called T-Bone.

Also recalls a friend by the name of Winesapp -
Winesack" who was killed during this two day
affair. He recalls sitting in a trench for two
days as the Chinese were right above them walking
back and forth, was NOT pleasant!

Please contact me if any
info on this particular unit and evening!!

Kind Regards,
Tammy Lillich

Comments: I served as photographer PIO office from September 1st, 1951 until June 20, 1952. We never had the opportunity to go on R and R to Japan. We were in reserve one time in the spring of 1952. I acquired 36 points and was still on the hill on June 20th when they called me off. We were right in the middle of an artillery attack and we had to run like hell to get out of there alive. At the time I was thinking of my family getting word of me being killed the very last day of my service! Luckily the shells missed us and the 6 X 6 we were riding in and the road we were traveling on. I photographed many soldiers in many outfits for release to their hometown papers, along with special assignments by S-2 for mapping and area coverage.

Comments: Shipped to Japan 1948 with Winfred L. Reynolds - both headed for 1st Cav. Unit destination changed at Zama Japan - me to GHQ Tokyo - Winfred ("Dick") apparently to 7th Army Division. Lost track of one another over next two years. Winfred was killed in action in April of 1951. I understand he was awared silver star for assisting wounded comrads until he was killed. Would like to learn more of this old friend. We enlisted together at High Point NC, attended basic training at Fort Jackson SC, and shipped to Japan together in 1948.
