Comments: my half brother jack mcdonald fought with the 2nd div 23rd inf in europe he was wounded 4 times he recieved several medals one being the silver star he is deceased now he was given a citacion i have all his medals and discharge but i dont have his citation the army says his records were distoryed in st louis by fire i was wondering if it would be in the records of the div?his army serial no.is 19 020 295 thank you very much

medals received by my father?

Comments: Would like to find any information on medal's or other history while serving in Korea. I was born 1-14-50, and am not sure when he went to Korea. I was told he recieved purple heart for scar he recieved on his back during hand to hand fight with Korean soldier. Any information about other men he fought with,or unit he served in would be appreciated. He died a young man as a civilian due to bad health. Comments: Glen Propes is my uncle and he is alive and quite talkative in Houston, Tx. He would love to hear from other veterans of MacArthurs mistake. Anyone know Raymond Crandall?

Comments: I am looking for anyone who knew Raymond Crandall from Baltimore, Md. The only thing we have is a copy of his discharge papers which say he was discharged from the 522d Inf Bn Ft Sill Okla. We understand he was injured at Pork Chop Hill. He went into service Feb 1952 and was out in Jan 1955. He never spoke of his service time,not even to his sister to whom he was very close. We also have a 2nd infantry division patch. He suffered from mental illness later in life and we don't know if he got the patch at a yard sale or if it actually was his. He died in Feb 1997. My husband would greatly appreciate any information on his father during those years.

Comments: Looking for anyone who served with SGT Bayne O. Renfro, Corpsman, during the Korean War. Bayne died december of 1999, never having spoken very often about his service. Army records pertainimg to his service were destroyed in the 1973 fire at the Army Records Center in St Louis, MO. His family would like any info about campaigns, battles, decorations, friends, etc.
