Comments: I would like to find out as much as I can about my father who past on 1995 24 Dec. He retiered an E-7 in 1974-75, But during this conflict he was in the 2nd Inf Div Co B 23rd Inf Regmt. Through his DD-214 I have found out he was in Korea from 1952 25 Mar-1953 18 Mar. While he was living he never talk about his tour to no one. I ask several times and was never given an answer, just tears would sweal in his eyes and he would say " as long as I live, I will never forget the smell of death" Now I know as an "Army Brat" that hte army keeps very good records of their units, but I can not find in books or on the net specific info on this unit. If any one can point me in the right direct- ion, I will be happy. My fathers Name: Floyd T. McCown RA52154241 Thank you again for any help!

I am looking for anyone who may have known my father, William Harrer. He was there from the spring of 1952 until Nov 27th 1952 when he stepped on a landmine and lost half a leg. He spent nearly 3 years in the hospital in San Francisso also. I would like to hear from anyone that may have known him at either location.
