Simmons, passed away August 7, 2003 in the county of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Here he was born and raised, left to serve his county, and returned to live his life. During the last year of his life, he shared many memories of his time in Korea. My Mother-Phyllis Simmons, has been typing up all of the letters that my father had written to her, it is an excellent diary of activities. I have scanned all of the pictures he had sent home, about 250 in number of the places, the people, and the company at work. Close to final printing. There was, may still be after a re-org, a 2998th Engineer Company (Float Bridge) in the TN ARNG and part of the 230th Engineer BN, then commanded out of Martin, TN.
