Comments: Hill called Tom. I am looking for a Barry?? Who served with my father Gary Griffiths and was later his best man. Also a Captain Dwyar, Jim Horotami, or Captain LeFonte. My father knew and loved these men. While he is still alive and has told me stories, I would like to begin a correspondence with any of the men who know my father. I am attempting to piece together a creative memoir piece about the men who lived the war in a way that humanizes their efforts through their personalities, trials, humor, and love.

Squad members at any one time: Al Sevigny, BAR man; Cpl. Shields; Otto L Yeates;Joseph Bujnovsky; Pvt. Robert Farnan; Cpl. Arthur Levine; Pvt. Richard W. Gibbs; Pvt. Hale E. Laws; Pvt. Forrest D. These names are copied from my original squad roster, but are incomplete in some cases because the replacement arrived during battle conditions.

Comments: I am looking for "anyone" who may have known my uncle. All I know is he was with 27th Regiment of 25th Division. I'ld like to know anything about him. What he was like, the circumstances around his death on 9/2/50. I am assuming this had something to do with the Battle of the Bowling Alley, but am not sure. Are copies of the morning reports available? Does anyone know what Company he was in? He was from the Maine if that helps? I don't know "anything" else about him. Thank you, John...

Comments: I wrote the book, "Fighting on the Brink: Defense of the Pusan Perimeter," the only detailed and accurate account of the Perimeter campaign which has been published to date. The book covers the entire perimeter, but the Wolfhounds have a prominent place in the narrative. If you want to know how it really was during the first months of the Korean War, this is the book for you. Autographed copies are available for sale through me. E-mail ENT27@CS.com

Comments: My father, Henry Brockman, was in Korea with the 25th Division, 27th Regiment, Company D, 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon in 1951 and 1952. He was wounded in action and recieved a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. We're trying to put together a shadowbox with all of his decorations and insignia, but do not know all of the other decorations he or his unit earned during his time in Korea. Any help, or any word from someone who remembers Hank, would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: My husband, SFC LeRoy W. Porter, Easy Co., 2nd Btn., 27th Inf.Reg., 25th Inf. Div., died 8/10/98. His ashes are interred in Arlington Nat. Cemetary. He was extremely proud of his Wolfhound service in Korea. I have been searching for anyone who served with him.

Comments: I am searching for any information about the service and death of my uncle, SGT Andrew K. Smelik, from the Bronx, NY. He was killed in Korea 28 November 1951. We believe he served in the 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. We don't know his unit. We would deeply appreciate any information about how he died. Anyone with morning rpts from that day? We would also love to hear from anyone who served with him. Please contact me at jan@mlrehab.com. Thank you so much for your help.

Comments: I was in Korea from December '52 until Nov '53. I came in as our regiment was coming off of Heartbreak Ridge. We then went to Pig Outpost. It would mean a great deal to me to be able to contact anyone who was in my company.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who might have known my father - John H. Davis, in Korean war, he was in Korea from 1951 - 1953. From 1951-1952 he was in the 27th inf. 25th div. wolfhounds, and in 1953 he was in the 24th inf. 34th reg. The army told him his records were burnt in 1973, and we need to find some information, so he can get some medical help from the V.A.
