Comments: I am interested in hearing from anyone serving during 1948-50 inJapan and 1950-51 in Korea. I served in the 2d Battalion Headquarters Co., 27th Infantry Wolfhounds 25th Division. I served with a close friend Robert Keeler from California and would really like to hear from him or from anyone who has information about him.

Comments: Jimmy was KIa 11-6-50 in the ambush of I&R platoon, or the subsequent murders of those captured on that date. Is there anyone with any information on the events? Perhaps from L Co.? I wish to determine for the surviving siblings, the actual circumstances of his demise. All information is very much appreciated. Thank you Wolfhounds.

Comments: I am hoping there is someone out there who can tell me if they served with him and/or if they have any recollection of treatment on the battle-field or where their records are since there was such chaos. The VA is giving me a very difficult time and I have a meeting with them on Monday 2/16/04. I know that his unit was almost totally wiped out so I am hoping that there may be at least one survivor. Thank you so much for your help.

Robert Kleinert wrote on 2003-10-30 12:58:25.0

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my dad Emil J. Kleinert. He served as a Lieut. in the Wolfhounds from around 1952-1953. He recently passed away (Oct. 18, 2003). He was a loving and decent man with a lot of character and I'm sure his experiences in Korea played no small part in the formation of the person he was. I know he was very proud of his service to his country and his unit. I only wish I had asked him more about his experiences in Korea to understand more about how he became the great man that I knew but I was always afraid of rekindling some bad memories. I would love to hear from anyone who may have any fond or funny memories of my dad but if not I would just like to say God Bless all of you wonderful men like my dad who served your country so bravely and magnificantly and just quietly reassimilated back into your lives as caring and compassionate fathers, husbands, friends, etc.
