Comments: I was stationed in Korea from December '52 to November '53. I got off the ship in Inchon. When I left Korea I was the section leader for my machine gun platoon. On my way home I lost my book with the names and addresses of the men in my platoon. I had a tour of duty at Pig Outpost two times. I participated in the prisoner exchange. After that I went back to Old Baldy and was there until I went home. I would like to hear from anyone who might have been in Korea during this time.

Comments: I am an Army veteran 7th ID (Light) 6/8 FIST attached to A CO/2nd BN/27th INF, Captain Tom Besch (commanding)/1LT Hansen-XO and 1SG Casaway 88-89. I was an FO/RTO and participated in Team Spirit-Operation Oriental Bayonet. All I remember is we landed at Osan AFB and left from Wonju. The 2-3 weeks in between was just a blur of villages, rice paddies, and helicopters. We were attached to 888th Marine ROK Regiment. I would just like to know where we were in South Korea during our manuevers, for my own curiosity. I wouldn't go so far to call myself a Korea Army veteran as I was only there for a short exercise but am proud to call myself an Army veteran of the 7th ID (Light) and the 27th INF Regiment ("Wolfhound"). I don't always miss being a soldier but I miss being around soldiers. The success I enjoy today is due in a large part to having been one once. I currently teach school in Nevada and fight wildland fires during the summer. I think of all of you daily and hope you are well.

Sincerely, Michael Todd Holden Specialist E4/13F10-Honorably Discharged 27 OCT 89

Comments: During the early spring 1953 while in the rear end was assigned to guard a tungsten mine, Jack Robinson watch relief did not arrive at the appointed time. After waiting well past his time, Robinson went to the guard shack where the relief guard slept. The shack was heated with a coal fired 55 gal. barrel. When entering the guard shack, Robinson observed an unusual foul odor which made him ill and neasious. He was unable to wake his relief or any other members of the guards in the shack. He was never able to find out about their condition or what happened to them. Former Cpl. Robinson would like to hear from anyone knowing or having information of this incident. Also would like to hear from any "E" Co. or Hdq. Co. Wolfhounds he served with 1952-1953 Korea.

KING COMPANY JACK PEEPLES

Comments: I served as Platoon Leader of the 3d Platoon and Exective Officer of King Company, 3d Battallion, Wolfhounds from late in '52 until the Truce.

I am very interested in establishing contact with men and officers of King Company.

I remember Lt. Nick Pungitori, Lt. Steve Toth, Lt. Davis, and Lt. Jamie Hendricks. At one point, the Company Commander was Capt Gottardi.

I also want to contact my Platoon medic, Corporal Boogie Howard. He visited me while I was in Law School over 45 years ago, but I have lost contact with him. I learned from his son that he did not receive the decoration for bravery that Capt Gottardi and I submitted. He was wounded while rescuing wounded troops and continued to provide aid while wounded and under fire. I was hurt in the action and was treated by Boogie. It is very important that this brave soldier receives the decoration that he deserves.

At the end of the war, we were on Pig Outpost. During Operation Big Switch, I was in command of one of the POW exchange trips. On another trip to Panmunjon, Lt. Hendricks was the commander and I went along with him. Just prior to crossing the Freedom Bridge, the Chinese prisoners started rioting in the trucks by waving Chinese flags and throwing their shoes and clothing along the route after setting them on fire.

I want to hear from anyone who was with us on that day to reconstruct an accurate history of the event.

I am currently trying to make contact in Korea with Sgt. Song Kil Nam, my KATUSA Sergent.

Anyone from King Company or Blue Battallion please get in touch with me.

Lt. Jack Peeples

Information of service is needed as he posses a letter and a telegram the Army sent to his father in NY when he was wounded in acrion. Information is needed so he can submitt a claim to the VA system. VA claims he never was in the Army and or war. His serial # is:51141680 and Social Security Number: 114-26-7756. Comments: Please help...My father passed away Jan 2 1998,and he never discussed his time in Korea. I know that he was in the army, and that he was wounded in action. I have received a copy of his DD214, and know that he went through Infintry School at Ft. Benning, GA. I also know that he was wounded in the back and received frost bite. His service # was RA 16 384 657 his specialty number or symbol was 71014, and he entered the service October 10, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If anyone has any information or remembers my dad, please e-mail me. I would like to be able to tell his grandchildren about his time in Korea. Thank you and God bless...
