Comments: I am hoping there is someone out there who can tell me if they served with him and/or if they have any recollection of treatment on the battle-field or where their records are since there was such chaos. The VA is giving me a very difficult time and I have a meeting with them on Monday 2/16/04. I know that his unit was almost totally wiped out so I am hoping that there may be at least one survivor. Thank you so much for your help.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my dad Emil J. Kleinert. He served as a Lieut. in the Wolfhounds from around 1952-1953. He recently passed away (Oct. 18, 2003). He was a loving and decent man with a lot of character and I'm sure his experiences in Korea played no small part in the formation of the person he was. I know he was very proud of his service to his country and his unit. I only wish I had asked him more about his experiences in Korea to understand more about how he became the great man that I knew but I was always afraid of rekindling some bad memories. I would love to hear from anyone who may have any fond or funny memories of my dad but if not I would just like to say God Bless all of you wonderful men like my dad who served your country so bravely and magnificantly and just quietly reassimilated back into your lives as caring and compassionate fathers, husbands, friends, etc.

STEPHEN MCDONOUGH wrote on May 8, 2003

City and State: WOBURN MA

Unit:

Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER

Comments: My father, William McDonough, served in Korea from '53 to '54.
He was very proud of his service but never talked much about it. I do know that he saw action and was wounded in May of '53, taking shrapnel in the head, neck and face. He mentioned a few regions in passing such as Old Baldy. His discharge papers don't offer us much insight into his experiences during the war and I would be interested in hearing from anyone who could offer some insight into what my father went through. He was proud to have been a Wolfhound.
Also, I am a bit confused in that on his discharge papers it cites his most significant action as with the 364th Infantry regiment but all of his patches are from the 27th infantry, 25th division.
Could anyone tell me why this is?
Thank you.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who remembers my dad, George M. Parker from Carnesville, Ga. He was a medic and was wounded on Sept 13, 1951. I would love to hear from anyone who knew Daddy; he loved his country and spoke alot about his ordeals. However, becaus I was so young,I did not pay much detail to what he was saying; Daddy died from complications from MS in 1974. I would love to hear from anyone who knew Daddy and would love to hear stories about Daddy. Thank you all for loving America enough to fight for our freedom--YOU GUYS ARE TRUE HEROES!
